Giftyr is an anonymous gift wishlist app. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is protected.

Who we are

Giftyr is operated by Johannes Grän. You can reach us at hello@giftyr.app.

Data collected in the app

Account. When you sign in with Apple, we store your display name and, if you choose to share it, your email address. This data is stored by Supabase and is used only to identify you within the app.

App content. Wishes, occasions, and family circle memberships you create are stored in our Supabase database. This data is yours — you can delete it at any time by contacting us.

Reservation privacy. Reservations are stored in a way that makes it technically impossible for a wish owner to see who reserved their gifts. Only the reserver can see their own reservations.

Analytics. The app uses TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous usage statistics. TelemetryDeck does not collect your name, email address, IP address, or any personally identifiable information. Any user identifier we send is double-hashed — once on your device before transmission, and once again on TelemetryDeck's servers — making it impossible to reverse. We use this data solely to understand which features are useful.

Data collected on this website

Waitlist. If you sign up for the waitlist, we store your email address and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address (HMAC-SHA256). The IP hash is used only for rate-limiting abuse and cannot be reversed to identify you. We will send you a confirmation email and one notification when the app launches — nothing else.

Your rights under GDPR

If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Email us at hello@giftyr.app and we will respond within 30 days.

To delete your account and all associated app data, email us with your request. To be removed from the waitlist, reply to any waitlist email or contact us directly.

We will update this page if anything material changes. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
